This page explains what personal data the websites https://www.groupexpression.fr/ and https://espacepro.groupexpression.fr/ (professional area) collect, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. we only collect data needed for a specific purpose, stated on this page;
we ask for your consent whenever the law requires it;

Contact form

On https://www.groupexpression.fr/.

Data collected: the profile chosen from the list (journalist, travel industry professional, job applicant…), your first and last name, your email address and your message. Depending on your profile, the form also asks for your company or organisation, your media outlet, your job title and your request, and lets you attach a file: a brief if you are looking for a partner agency, your CV if you are applying for a job.

Purpose: to respond to your request.

Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Without this information, we cannot reply to you.

Retention period: the time needed to handle your request and, where applicable, until the end of any resulting business relationship. An unsuccessful job application is kept for no more than two years after our last exchange, unless you ask us to erase it sooner.

On https://www.groupexpression.fr/.

Data collected: your email address and, if you provide it, the name of your company.

Purpose: to inform you of our events and publications as soon as they are released.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you sign up.

Retention period: until you unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, write to us at contact@groupexpression.fr.

Professional area registration

On https://espacepro.groupexpression.fr/.

Data collected: your first and last name, your business email address, your job title, your company, your city and the regions whose news you wish to follow.

Purpose: getting in touch and any resulting business relationship, in particular keeping you informed of news from the partners we represent in the regions you have chosen.

Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.

Retention period: until the end of the resulting business relationship, or until you ask us to erase it.

Audience measurement

We measure traffic on both websites with Matomo, open-source software installed on our own server in France. The statistics stay with us: they are not passed on to any third party, neither to the publisher of Matomo nor to any advertising network.

Matomo is configured in line with the CNIL’s recommendations for audience measurement tools that are exempt from consent:

your IP address is anonymised;
the statistics are anonymous and are used only to measure traffic on the websites;
they are not combined with any other data and cannot be used to track you on other websites;
they are kept for no more than 25 months.

You can opt out of this measurement by unticking the box below. Your choice is saved in your browser.

Your visit is included in the websites’ statistics.

Cookies

Neither website sets any advertising or social media cookies. They only use:

Matomo’s audience measurement cookies: _pk_id, which recognises a returning visit (no more than 13 months), and _pk_ses, which follows a visit in progress (30 minutes);
technical cookies, needed for the websites to work securely, which only concern the people in charge of updating them.

These cookies are exempt from consent, which is why no banner asks for your agreement. Our fonts are hosted on our own server: displaying the pages does not send your IP address to any third-party service.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

Recipients

Your data is intended only for the members of the GroupExpression team responsible for replying to you. It is neither sold nor transferred. The following act on our behalf:

o2switch, which hosts both websites and their databases in France, in Clermont-Ferrand;
Microsoft, which provides the agency’s email service, where messages sent through the forms arrive. Microsoft may process this data outside the European Union, under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

We disclose personal data if required by law or by a court decision. If our agency is sold or merged, your data may be passed on to our advisers, to prospective buyers and then to the new owners.

Security

We take appropriate measures to limit misuse and unauthorised access: only the people who need it have access to your data, this access is protected and our security measures are reviewed regularly.

Your rights

You have the following rights over your data:

to know why it is collected, what happens to it and how long it is kept;
to access it;
to have it corrected, completed or erased;
to withdraw your consent at any time;
to object to its processing, or to request that processing be restricted;
to receive it in a commonly used format, so that you can pass it on to another organisation.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@groupexpression.fr, stating clearly who you are, so that we do not change or erase someone else’s data. We will reply within one month.

If, after contacting us, you believe that your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL at www.cnil.fr.

Third-party websites

This policy does not apply to the websites our links point to. We cannot vouch for how they handle your data: we recommend that you read their own privacy policy.
